DOC (Department of Conservation) maintains many walking tracks and walkways, which are freely available for you to visit and enjoy.
The walks take in a variety of forest, coastal and hill country scenery. They vary in length and difficulty, and they cater for a wide range of ages or fitness.

'Roberton Island Experience'
A short boat trip will take you to one of the most beautiful spots that the Bay of Islands has to offer. Once out on the water from the mainland, the first island you see is Roberton (Motuarohia), distinguished by its two picturesque lagoons.
Day Trip to Roberton Island in the picturesque Bay of Islands, New Zealand. (minimum numbers required)
Departs Paihia 10am and 11am

Snorkelling Trail
There is snorkelling for all abilities and you will see a wide range of sub tropical fish species. In the western lagoon, a snorkelling trail has been laid out, describing what you are viewing in each of the areas.
Walking Track & Lookout
This well marked island track climbs up the Pa that’s situated in the centre of the island. There you will experience spectacular views of surrounding islands of the Bay of Islands.
